Privacy
Short version: we keep as little as we can, never sell it, and you can delete it any time.
Without an account
We set a few small cookies to remember your display choices: inches or centimetres and, if you enter it, your waist measurement, which we use to pick your size in every chart. We also remember your cookie choice, and whether you’ve closed our giveaway banner or join pop-up, so we don’t show them again for a while. These stay in your browser and aren’t used to track you.
Shop links
Some links to shops are affiliate links: if you buy after clicking one, Menjitsu may earn a commission at no cost to you. We use Skimlinks to manage these links, and Skimlinks and the shops may set cookies to record the referral. Skimlinks only loads if you choose “Accept” on the cookie notice, and you can change your mind any time from “Cookie settings” at the foot of every page. When you click a “Where to buy” link we also count the click, without storing anything that identifies you unless you’re signed in.
With an account
We store your email address, your username and anything you add to your profile (name, bio, location, picture), your waist measurement if you save it, your jean collection and wishlist (including any photos you upload, which are resized and stored with our hosting provider), any models you suggest, what you post in the community, and when you joined and last signed in. Your collection is shown on your public profile unless you switch that off on your collection page. We use these to run your account and, only if you tick the box, to email you about new models and fit notes.
Giveaways
If you opt in to giveaways we store that you did, when, and which country you live in, so we can check you’re eligible. Your entries are worked out from what you post on Menjitsu. If you win, we email you, and we ask for your name and shipping address only to send the prize; where a sponsor ships it, we pass those details to them for that purpose alone. Winners’ usernames are shown on the giveaways page. You can opt out any time from your account. See the giveaway rules.
Sign-in links and newsletters are sent through our email provider. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, and you can switch it off in your account.
Your choices
You can change or delete your details from your account page; deleting your account removes everything linked to it. For anything else, email [email protected].
